What we can measure?

Like an introduction of the topic, I would like to do a reflection about all the things that we can measure in our day to day.

If we think in some magnitudes that que can measure probably we would remember the ones that we have study at school. Like distance, capacity, mass or time. We could imagine a lot of proyects or practice exercises to do with children about these magnitudes, because we are very close with them. So, I would like to explain some examples in the next posts.

But there are a lot of more complex magnitudes o more society magnitudes that we can measure, and we could use them with children in the school.

For example, we can measure the noise or the light, and now, there are a los of applications that help us to do it. So, we can open minds and try to leave the traditional way of education to make children to think in others dimensions. I'm going to explain some apps and some examples of using them at school too.

In addition, there are some society magnitudes, like the money, that are very interesting to study with children. Related with this issue, the society, we could do a lot of statistics associated with the live of students, so, it could be another way to measure.

To conclude, we can claim that measure is a complex and broad field, that in multipurpose, given us a lot of ways and opportunities to work with children in a trasversal way.

Here, you have a lot of example of things that we can measure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAATza8lx0M
